Salford Loaves and Fishes were one of the first charity groups to use Salford 4 Good to sucessfully fundraise.

Salford Loaves and Fishes used the Salford 4 Good online shop to offer people the chance to buy Christmas meals for vulnerable local people -  a total of £332.32 was raised for the local charity.  This money provided 100 vulnerable people with a Christmas dinner.

Salford Loaves and Fishes were contacted by a member of the Seedley and Langworthy Trust – one of the Salford 4 Good partners – about using the online shop to raise funds.

Susan, the administrator at Loaves and Fishes explained:  “I think it’s fantastic. I like that idea that the site recruits the help of the local people and it shows the good things that go on in Salford.”

“We would definitely use the service again, it worked and we achieved our target of providing 100 meals.”

The Windsor Drop-in centre expressed their gratitude to all the 20 volunteers that sacrificed their own Christmas day to work at the centre. “We wouldn’t have been able to do what we did without them.”
